  1. Mauri Gaetano says:

    Good morning.

As many other comments attest, there are not enough stars or words to describe the greatness of Dr. Capuano; his professionalism, his humanity towards patients and his experience, that I believe makes him the number one surgeon in Italy. After suffering from back problems, I was lucky to meet Christian, who in no time put me back on my feet with oxygen-ozone therapy and advised me to have osteosynthesis and arthrodesis surgeries. He performed both surgeries, and the following day I was able to stand and function quite well. I sincerely thank him and the Eporediese clinic who treated us very well. A huge hug and an endless thank you to Dr. Christian Capuano for being number one and being able to solve the problems of his patients. He is beyond compare and without competitors. Thanks again. Mauri Gaetano

  2. Antonietta says:

My name is Antonietta and am 71 years old. I have known Dr. Capuano for years, and for years he has allowed me to avoid undergoing my fourth operation for a herniated disc, which would have been very risky for my spine.

He has helped me to get back on my feet and live peacefully without the disabling pain that has affected me at every change of season/climate.

His professionalism and humanity make him unique, and as far as I’m concerned he is irreplaceable.

His extensive experience inspires trust.
I have ozone therapy treatments regularly and every time I get useful tips for my wellbeing.

I thank him and I highly recommend him!!!

  3. Donatino says:

My name is Donatino, I am 50 years old and I have been a patient of Dr. Capuano’s since February 2018! Recently, I have undergone various therapies for a dorsal hernia and displaced vertebrae. Then, fifteen days ago, at the Eporediese clinic in Ivrea, I was operated on by two wonderful surgeons (Dr. Capuano and Dr. Carnini), who were very professional and very HUMAN. They were able to help, advise and support me during and after this experience. I deeply thank all of their staff, and I recommend them all to anyone with this kind of problem!

  4. Maddalena Cantelli says:

Having known and been treated by Dr.Capuano was one of the most positive and enjoyable experiences of my life.

    Thank you.

  5. Rosalba Tarantino e Fernando Cordella says:

On the afternoon of October 30, 2016, when I performing a routine movement at home, I felt a strong back pain on the right side of my back.

That was the beginning of a painful journey, starting with my family doctor and ending with appointments with several so-called “specialists” in neurosurgery. After some time, I was resigned to undergoing surgery, although I had no real intention of doing so. I want to clarify that I could not stand up or walk. All this, as I said, began October 30, 2016 and ended, thankfully on April 24, 2017, when I someone told me about Dr. Capuano in Como. I did not have an examination at my first appointment, but just an interview with a friendly, kind and professional person. Since then, thanks to Dr. Cristian Capuano, I have been able to walk again and do everything I had been doing before – after just a few sessions.

With these words, I want to thank Dr. Cristian Capuano for his kindness and his ability to put people at ease, even at the first appointment.

My husband also sends his heartfelt thanks. He too receives ozone therapy and is improving markedly.
Dear Dr. Cristian, thank you very much for everything you have done for my family. A sincere greeting from your FRIENDS, more than patients, Rosalba Tarantino and Alberico Fernando Cordella.
    Thank you.

  6. Mara Cogo says:

Thank you. His HUMANITY and ability to LISTEN to the patient make him a DOCTOR with a great heart and GREAT PROFESSIONALISM.

Thanks to him I have treated a bursitis on my left knee and a backache derived from a small protrusion, and an incorrect posture caused by pain. Now, I will start with the treatment of the right knee (operated on for meniscus and cartilage problems) and I’m sure there will be great results.
I can only say THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO ME AND FOR UNDERSTANDING MY FEARS.
Thank you Doctor with all my HEART.
I also want to thank Marinella for her always courteous SMILE.

  7. Domenico says:

Hi, I’m Domenico and I am 49 years old.

A lifetime of sport, work, many hours in the car and the resulting back problems, three herniated discs.

For years, I have been fighting with this pain/problem, have looked everywhere for help, but only Dr. Capuano solved the problem.

    OZONE THERAPY!

When we say OZONE THERAPY, we are talking about a simple injection … BUT, NO!

I have tried many doctors, but none were like him. There is only one way to go, a clear and meticulous method.

I liked his attentiveness, dialogue, explanation and sharing of the problem/solution.

    Congratulations!

One of the few who did not treat me as if I were a car, but a human being.

  8. Moreno Imperiali says:

    Good morning,
My name is Moreno. For years, I have suffered from cervical pain and disorders deriving from it. I have tried several remedies/therapies without any benefit.
After having an MRI and the first visit, I started ozone therapy. After four sessions, I was already having positive results, after four more sessions my life improved a lot, I was without pain and discomfort.
With this, I want to thank the Dr. Christian Capuano, a very kind and professional person, who is very competent, for helping me to feel good. Thank you!!!

  9. Enrica Molteni says:

I would like to thank Dr. Capuano. He immediately identified my neck problem at the first visit.
I was very worried because I could no longer rest my head on the pillow or drive. Now, after oxygen-ozone therapy sessions I am returning to normal. Thank you very much for taking care of me and above all for reassuring me.

  10. Michela says:

I have always suffered from back pain, but with a few sessions with the physiotherapist I have always been able to solve my problem; but one Monday morning in mid-September 2017 my back decided to freeze up completely.
After several attempts by my physiotherapist (the mythical Cosimo), he tells me that he surrenders and recommends an MRI; we discover that I have a L5-S1 disc disease; Cosimo, after having seen the MRI tells me that he cannot do anything, but directs me to a dear friend of his, Dr. Christian Capuano. I meet Dr. Capuano on 3 May 2018, who explains my problem with very simple words and advises me to do oxygen-ozone therapy… and only if this therapy does not work, have an operation.
I started oxygen-ozone therapy on 23/05, a series of small shots in the back… (which for someone who is afraid of needles is quite challenging) … but already at the third session my back pain seems a distant memory. The sessions began to be reduced to twice a week and then moved to one every 10 days and then to one per month, with the last one on 7 August. I can only thank my physiotherapist Cosimo, for having sent me to Dr. Capuano, an extraordinary person of an indescribable sweetness and sensitivity, who knows how to transmit serenity to the patient. I will never stop thanking Dr. Capuano for giving me back my back without pain and without having to resort to surgery … but only with oxygen-ozone therapy. A special thank you also goes to the very kind Marinella.
Thank you so much!!!

  11. Luisa R. says:

Dear Dr. Capuano, thank you for the treatment of my spondylolisthesis, also because I had already tried different treatments in the past but none with a positive outcome.
In addition to the professional aspect, I found you to be very human, using “simple” and clear explanations with me.
From the first sessions, I noticed an improvement, which has intensified thanks to the other maintenance sessions.
Now I can say that I feel good, in fact I can take care of my garden and vegetable garden, etc.
Thanks to the person who advised me to come to you, and I will do the same with those who need it.
Thanks again.

  12. Menzoli Paola Maria says:

My name is Maria Paola, and on 4 June 2018 I was operated on at the Ivrea Eporediese Clinic. The operation consisted of TLIF L4-L5, L4 L5-L5 S1 decompression, and stabilisation with screws and bars.
My back problems started in 2016 due to lumbar disc herniation. I consulted various specialists and for a while I was fine. At the beginning of this year the symptoms reappeared.
An acquaintance advised me to contact Dr. Capuano’s office, and so I did.
Immediately, I was impressed, not only by his preparation and expertise in neurosurgery, but also by the PASSION he held for his work. I had finally found a doctor I could trust.
Unfortunately, in the meantime, my already compromised situation had worsened: my back pain was constant and the painkillers seemed to have no effect; soon even my legs started to hurt and did not want to move anymore. It seemed like I was living a nightmare: my life had completely changed, I could not walk anymore and the pain tortured me.
Dr. Capuano told me that I would have to undergo a 3-hour-long surgery, but that the following day after I would be walking. And that is what happened.
For me, a person who worked in the hospital for over 30 years, I seemed almost impossible to find a doctor who, besides being very good from a professional point of view, is also “human”, always available to listen and to reassure, not just with words but also with a smile a handshake. This was true also for his associates, from Doctor Carnini to the physiotherapist Andrea, who during the session in which he de-contracted my muscles, accepted my tears of desperation, seeking professionally and humanly to reassure me; Marinella was always available, which I will always remember, because in the period in which I was hospitalized, she called me in the evening to find out how I was. All of these people are not just professionals… they have something more; a heart, they are human, they know how to understand the suffering of patients and they are not indifferent to them. All this at a time when patients admitted to hospital are often identified by their bed number and not by their name.
Again a big thank you to all of you…

  13. Salvadori Fabrizio says:

My name is Fabrizio. I am 59 years old and my passion is the Sport Dance that I have been practicing with my wife Cinzia for about ten years. Towards the end of December 2018, during a training session, I felt a strange discomfort on my left side, which I had never felt before, and which did not allow me to adequately manage loads while resting on my left leg; at that point I decided to suspend the activity before causing more damage, convinced that the disorder, which occurred in a period of intense training for the competitive season, would be solved with a short rest period. In reality, it was not like that: my rickety spine was finally showing signs of wear. Up to that point, I had been able to compensate for my spinal weakness with the support of a well-trained, toned and elastic musculature. In fact, after a few days the symptoms of a very painful and constant sciatica that did not decrease even in bed, set in. I was unable to stand up and I could only walk slowly and for short trips, assuming a ridiculous duck-like position to feel less pain. I had an MRI and three herniated discs were discovered. I was advised to go to a specialised centre in Brescia, where hernias were treated with ozone infiltrations guided by TAC, and so I did. I underwent three sessions over two months, waiting patiently for the therapies to provide some improvement; in the meantime, sleepless nights and generalised pain, including the most “powerful” prescribed medicines did not help me. At this point, it was clear that I had to turn to a specialist who could deal with my situation differently. While speaking with my previous primary care physician (who, unfortunately for his patients, is now retired) an excellent professional and a person of whom I have always had the highest esteem, he suggested I make an appointment with Dr. Capuano. I have to admit that my first impression, when faced with so much experience, disorientated me a little, but then I knew that for the first time someone was looking at my situation as a whole and knew precisely what to do in order to find a permanent solution. Dr. Capuano was also the first doctor to understand that I what I really needed was a medicine that would allow me to relax my muscles during the night and finally be able to sleep; it seems over simple, but this reminded me of an old adage: “the truly great know how to solve problems with simple solutions”, and from there came trust, which over time evolved into empathy, which assured me we would have success. In the following weeks, the real work began with the use of ozone therapy, but also with the necessary exchange of information, fundamental for the success of the therapies. After about 40 days I also started physiotherapy with Andrea, who also showed me some simple extension exercises to do at home, every day, and within a month I started walking normally. As more time passed, my resistance increased. There was only one problem: I still could not stand still for more than a few minutes, because the sciatica would flare up. At this point, Dr. Capuano decided that after all the good work done up until that point, we were ready to solve the “mechanical problem” through surgery. On 9 July, at the Eporediese Clinic of Ivrea, Dr. Capuano, assisted by Dr. Carnini, with the support of the anaesthetist, Dr. Canale, performed the stabilisation surgery with screws and bars on L5-S1 and decompression on L3-L4 and on L5-S1 (according to the release letter, because I do not remember anything). After getting over the effects of the anaesthesia, the next morning, I waited impatiently for the doctor to come, get me up and watch me walk. Meanwhile, I was going through the correct movements to get out of bed, put on my shoes and get up that Andrea had taught me. The fateful moment arrived and I did everything as I had been taught, but when I met Dr. Carnini’s gaze, I realised something was wrong; So, I asked, “Did I make a mistake?” and he smiled, “wrong, no, but you should have done everything more slowly!” It was clear that I was so happy to start living again, that I would have continued walking like “Forrest Gump” if they hadn’t stopped me. Today, 9 days after the surgery, I feel that everything is proceeding well; it will still take some time to get over all the post-operative after-effects and I have no intention of ruining all the work done up to this point. But, I am convinced that I have found in this group adventure, good and honest company, and I want to do my part right up to the end… because if one of the group members “cheats”, the company fails! Thanks Christian, thanks Andrea, thanks Marinella, thanks Francesco, thanks Giancarlo, thanks Nadia and thanks to all the staff of the Eporediese Clinic and, allow me, a huge thanks to my wife Cinzia, who more than anyone else has been close to me over these difficult months.

  14. Marco Troiano says:

    Professionalism…
That is what distinguishes Dr. Capuano from most others.
My name is Marco and I am 40 years old. For many years (almost 20!) I have lived with lumbar pain. I have seen many professionals and sought help from potential healers, chiropractors, orthopaedists, doctors, Super-doctors and Super-specialists, without ever worrying about the costs of private appointments. I was advised to… “go to him, he treated this football player, go to him, he treated this singer…”, etc. After many appointments, I returned home with a 3 month long antibiotic cure.
During the Christmas holidays, I was in very poor condition and taken by despair, I searched on the internet and “accidentally” found Dr. Capuano.
As soon as I left his studio after the first appointment, I knew that he would not be like everyone else.
First of all, Dr. Capuano was the only one to tell me the cause of my backache, unlike all the other specialists who had seen me over the years and who had simply told me what my backache was but had never explained to me what it was related to.
To make a long story short… on May 4 the doctor operated on me in Ivrea and after just 2 months I returned to motorcycle racing!
When you are truly passionate about your work, you only get excellent results. This is Dr. Capuano.
THANK YOU to the doctor and to all his staff.

  15. Giovanni Pedretti says:

Dear Dr. Capuano, thank you for your care and for resolving my sciatica. Thanks for allowing me to enjoy life again.
In Dr. Capuano, I have found two rare gifts in today’s world: Professionalism and Humanity; namely considering a patient as not only a sick person but a person with whom to dialogue.
